[求职信息] 我的工作在澳洲有“钱”途吗?

I have been spending my last five years in corporate financing and Foreign Exchange Hedging in investment banking sector of a top SOE (state owned enterprise). But, banishingly, I can NOT say I am expertised in this field. With the coming arrival to Aussie, I am much more suspicious on my capability in continuing my investment banking careers in Aussie. As a matter of fact, I earn my living by communicating with my clients, most of them are well known companies, nationaly. I love this job, as it reward me a lot of opportunities to meet friends, exciting, show-off. I made my client earn really profitable money in the market, they feel comfortable, and they prefer talking to me.

Unfortunatly, it leave me a little dose of tactics, my present job is too much strategic,sometimes, like a fund investment. I find myself incapable of doing some very basic but important job, such as accounting. Can i make through in Aussie? I am just wondering.

LZ的E文还是不错的, 感觉和客户沟通应该没啥问题,应该还能从一定程度上打动客户。
你可以拿到PR后,尝试Offshore找下工作,如果有中介反馈就说明有戏。

Much appreciation for your hint. My point of view is we are sharing the experiece rather than Q&A. I don't even know didn't I ask a good question. I though I am just a little bit not tentative on my future over there, and try to show some proof to my phsyc to make a decision.

I reckon your opportunity is really up to how good is your speaking and what sort of role is in your mind. I read through what you said, nothing about the role. I assume your speaking is no problem and you will be fine with business analyst. But you need to build up your local experience. The first impression is you more fit for financial adviser.

My present  role is financial adviser for corporates in the field of FX, treasury management establishment. You know,  as more and more Chienese manufacturers and companies is exposed to FX risks, they want to establish the accountability of corporate treasury in making profits, in other words, making money from money, hedge value of money in future, through funds invesments, assets management, liability trust.

On the flip side of our business, my peers are about to find opportunity of vehicles with a considerable yields, e.g., trust loan, to earn to cover our administration fees, sales expense and client's interests etc.

So, besides  financial advisory, we also have a deep pocket on funds investment, geting money in, geting interest out. The funds product is various by the means of ABS, assets backed security, MBS, morgage backed securities.

Overall, it's generally a scope of investment banking. I prefer to find a similar job in Aussie.

My speaking, is intermediate. The concise and precise speaking is needed to be honed.

You have every reason to be more confident!

Just let go.

Maybe life is more about investment banking.

不妥,我当时在网站上找工作时,有的会要求你有一个Jobseek ID number,有的雇主会从网上看到你的某些信息。而且申请这些岗位还必须是合法工作的签证,比如:Australian,澳洲PR ,新西兰人,或是工作签证。假如自己已拿到PR还在国内,也不妨试试,直接告诉对方自己还在境外。

Thanks for your points.
I couldn't agree with you any more, it's a job of communication and networking. In this field, networking is the key to be succeed, the barrier to enter into this field is high.
The big names have Morgan Stanley, Lehman Brother. But, the scale of this field is very widely spreaded, as no company does not require of hedge its wealth saved in FX ( foreign exchange), OA (open account), intangible assets. The counterparty of investment banking is corporate treasury. Investment banking sell assets management, debts management, to corporate treasury.
Investmen banking makes a bet in the market, they have to source the corporate trearury to hedge the risk borne with the bets. Through the hedging strategies, both investment banks and corporate treasury better off. The more assets and debts trusted by corporates is hedged, the less risky the investment banks made a bet.
Coming back to my role, it is a combination of market intelligence and investment banking product sales.

Just FYI, I can see many PM, BA and tester in investment bank but advisers. I suspect adviser is just one of its channels rather than the employee. I could be wrong.
