Job Purpose Statement:
The purpose of this role is to build, maintain and service all EBS and it’s customers’ Windows server
infrastructure requirements.
This role has a high focus on rapidly responding to and resolving problems and incidents to ensure the
performance and availability of the server infrastructure fleet is at or above the SLA’s set with EBS
customers.
Responsibilities:
• Respond to and resolve 2nd and 3rd level incidents and problems across EBS and it’s
customers’ Windows server infrastructure within agreed SLA’s and change management
processes.
• Complete all operational tasks to ensure uptime of the server infrastructure is within agreed
SLAs.
• Provision, build and maintain the Windows, Citrix, VMWare ESX and server infrastructure
services such as Active Directory, mail gateway, anti-virus servers, authentication, network
services and proxy services in a multi-customer environment.
• Provision, build and maintain the monitoring, alerting, reporting and backup infrastructure in a
multi-customer environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Infrastructure and Applications areas.
• Implement pro-active preventative maintenance processes and procedures.
• Maintain operational documentation including configuration management database.
• Contribute to EBS Knowledge Management through sharing and publishing of infrastructure
best practices.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call roster.

• Demonstrated IT operational experience supporting the management of enterprise scale VMWare environments.
• Demonstrated IT operational experience supporting the management of enterprise Citrix server
infrastructure including Citrix Access Gateway with Advanced Access Control.
• Demonstrated IT operational experience supporting the management of enterprise scale server
infrastructure services such as Active Directory, mail gateway, anti-virus servers, authentication,
network services and proxy services.
• Demonstrated IT operational experience supporting the monitoring, alerting and backup of the
server infrastructure.
• Experience in managing multiple client support delivery mechanisms.
• Experience in the application of ITIL processes.
• Working within a large multi customer organisation with varied user skill levels and operating
• environments.
• Demonstrated experience in the ability to keep abreast of technology trends and issues
Qualifications
• MCP, MCSA, MCSE or equivalent experience.
• VCP or equivalent experience.
• CCA , CCIA or equivalent experience.
• ITIL Foundation or equivalent experience.
• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or Business or equivalent work experience. |
